Nor-Feed, based in the Angers Technopole of France, and recently acquired by Adisseo, was founded 20 years ago around the concept of the preventive role of nutritional botanical extracts from agricultural co-products, designed to limit the use of antibiotics, coccidiostats and pesticides in animal nutrition.

Nor-Feed Vietnam was established in 2016, as a joint-venture between Nor-Feed Holding and NAN Group.

The company has gradually introduced its botanicals additives on the Vietnamese feed market, supported by university and research stations work and field validation trials.

Nor-Feed has had notable successes in terms of the development and registration of botanical additives for use in animal feed. Nor-Feed Vietnam has secured a total of 28 registrations in Vietnam, for aquaculture and livestock applications.

Trieu Nguyen has been made director of Nor-Feed Vietnam. Prior to that he was regional commercial director, in charge of Nor-Feed’s business in Southeast Asia; he will keep these responsibilities.

Olivier Clech, chair of the board of Nor-Feed Vietnam and president of Nor-Feed Holding, said the demand for botanical additives for animal nutrition is strong in Southeast Asia, especially to offset oxidative stress or manage coccidial risk. “The growth potential remains considerable in Vietnam, and the local team is very committed to continuing our development under Trieu’s leadership.”

In February this year, Adisseo confirmed that it had finalized the acquisition of the French botanicals producer, first flagged in December 2022.

As the deal was first announced, the two entities identified synergies from the merger, in particular the further penetration of plant extracts in high growth markets where Adisseo is already well-established and has real legitimacy. Nor-Feed said then it would continue to autonomously manage its R&D, production, and sales network.
